The Cool’s Coolest at Somerset House

Good morning, dear readers!

Today I'm really excited, because I get to share with you the very first photos from Day 1 of London Fashion Week…

I was kindly invited to attend two shows, for which I am very grateful, and the pictures of which are still undergoing some editing work, but to be honest, I really can't decide whether what I enjoyed the most was seeing the models trotting down the runway, or the beautiful crowds of creative and charismatic people walking around Somerset House.

The atmosphere was really magical: with really no attempt at effortlessness, just a joyous celebration of fashion, eccentricity and originality, and outfits that were at once witty, intelligent and exhuming coolness from their very pores.

Seeing people I admire so much as Susie Lau from the Style Bubble blog, Hilary Alexander from the Telegraph, or the also blogger Eleonora Carisi (who very gracefully consented to be photographed, see below) was a truly unforgettable experience, and as I left to go back to work all I could think of was the moment in which I'd come back once again.

I hope these pictures can somehow express some part of what it's like to witness such an important fashion event unfold, or at least provide some visual inspiration.

Queridos lectores, ¡buenos días!

Hoy debo admitir el estar realmente emocionada por poder compartir con vosotr@s las primeras fotos del primer día de la London Fashion Week…

Tuve la verdadera suerte de poder asistir a dos desfiles, por lo que estoy realmente agradecida (subiré las fotos en cuanto haya terminado de editarlas), pero para seros sincera, no sé qué disfruté más: si ver a las modelos recorriendo la pasarela, o más bien a los grupos de gente verdaderamente creativa y carismática paseando por Somerset House. 

El ambiente era realmente mágico: sin rastro alguno de pretensiones hipócritas de descuido o looks 'effortless', sino una alegre celebración de moda, excentricidad y originalidad, con conjuntos que transmitían una gran inteligencia, y grandes dosis de factor 'cool'.

Ver a gente que admiro tanto como a Susie Lau del blog Style Bubble, Hilary Alexander del Telegraph, o la también blogger Eleonora Carisi (a quien tuve la suerte de poder fotografiar, ver más arriba) fue una experiencia inolvidable, y al llegar la hora de volver al trabajo, sólo pude pensar en cuándo volver.

Espero que estas imágenes puedan de alguna manera transmitir lo que se siente al ser testigo de cómo un evento de tal calibre se desarrolla, o que al menos puedan proporcionar algún tipo de inspiración visual.
